A lobe pump, or rotary lobe pump, is a positive displacement pump with the lobes designed to almost meet, rather than touch and turn each other. The are used in industries including pharmaceutical, chemical, food and beverage and have excellent sanitary qualities providing high efficiency, reliability, corrosion resistance and good clean-in-place and sterilization-in-place (CIP/SIP) characteristics.
