Elfin Technology
The ‘Elfin’ finned tube is the patented product from Sterling Thermal Technology which Fluid Dynamics has used extensively in hydro power generator coolers for power stations such as Snowy Hydro, Hydro Tasmania and Origin Energy, to provide long lasting and reliable cooling of their important generators.
With the Elfin patented computer-generated technology, each fin strip is machined and spaced exactly over the outside of tube, protecting the delicate inner tube and producing a tight and thermally efficient bond.
For Hydrogen Manufacture, Carbon Capture and LNG, very large finned tube equipment is required - no problem.
In conjunction with its partner, Kelvion Thermal Solutions (KTS), Fluid Dynamics can design, manufacture, install and service heat exchangers up to any size.
DIESTA and Groovy are innovative new finned tube technologies from KTS, dedicated to air cooled heat exchangers, using enhanced surfaces that have the ability to improve plant efficiency and reduce construction costs without deviating from the robust design requirements of Oil & Gas Industry standards such as API 661.
