DIAA
For many years Fluid Dynamics and its staff have enjoyed providing vital expert heat exchange services and equipment to the Dairy industry in Australia and New Zealand.
The Dairy Industry Association of Australia (DIAA) plays a vital role in the well-being of the Australian Dairy industry and our Managing Director, John Bolton, who was keen to put something back into the industry, thought his skills might prove useful to the DIAA to help it advance its needs and those of its members.
When he made it known to the Board that he was interested in volunteering his time and expertise, the Board took the unprecedented step of extending a special invitation for him to join as its seventh member.
John says
“I was honoured to receive the offer to join the Board and delighted to accept it” John said, adding “I have long admired the DIAA and its work and I believe it provides valuable assistance to all dairy manufacturers, suppliers and associated businesses. I am proud to now be able to play a real part in its important work”.
The DIAA Board is made up of one member from each of six States with John making its seventh Board member.
Incorporated on 24 March 1986 the DIAA brought together two proud associations – the Australian Dairy Institute (ADI) which began its life in the 1890s and the Australian Society of Dairy Technology (ASDT) which was established in 1944.
The DIAA works tirelessly publishing its iconic and educational Australian Dairy Foods magazine, running industry competitions, conferences and trade events and offering scholarships and regular networking opportunities to its members.
John has now been asked to head up the Board’s membership committee and would be delighted to hear from anyone who might like to become a member of the DIAA or has any ideas on how it can better assist them and our valuable industry.
