Finned Tube Heat Exchangers
Finned tube heat exchangers are generally heavy duty finned tubed units fitted with water boxes at each end.
They are robust and ideal for use in heavy industry including power generation. Fluid Dynamics has designed and manufactured literally hundreds of these units for use as generator air coolers in hydro power stations.
Elfin Technology
The ‘Elfin’ Finned Tube is patented product from Sterling Thermal Technology which Fluid Dynamics has used extensively in hydro power generator coolers for power stations such as Snowy Hydro, Hydro Tasmania and Origin Energy to provide long lasting and reliable cooling of their important generators. With the Elfin patented computer-generated technology, each fin strip is machined and spaced exactly over the outside of tube and protects the delicate inner tube and producing a tight and thermally efficient bond.
